Add-On Experiences — Make Your Safari Package Your Own

Your adventure doesn’t end with game drives. Every Masai Mara tour package can be extended with experiences that connect you deeper to the Mara and its people.

Hot Air Balloon Safari + Bush Breakfast

Soar above the savannah at sunrise and witness the Masai Mara from a bird’s-eye view. Includes balloon flight over the Mara River and plains, followed by a bush breakfast. A highlight of any luxury Masai Mara Holiday Packages — and available to add onto any stay.

Private Bush Dinners Under the Stars

A lantern-lit dinner in the wild, set up just outside camp. Our team creates an intimate dining experience surrounded by the sounds of the bush — perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries, or any evening worth marking.

Guided Wildlife Photography Sessions

Whether you are a hobbyist or a professional, our guides — many born and raised here — will position you for the shot. Custom vehicles and schedules built around golden light and wildlife activity.

Nature Walk + Tree Planting

Learn the flora around the camp with our in-house naturalist and visit our tree nursery. Plant a tree sapling and leave a lasting green legacy at Mara Siligi. A favourite with families and returning guests.

Masai Cultural Village Visit

Visit nearby Masai villages and learn about traditions, dances, and daily life. These experiences support the local community directly and offer a connection to the people who have called the Mara home for generations.

Stargazing Sessions

Zero light pollution. Full Milky Way overhead. Our guides bring the night sky to life — constellations, stories, silence. Available any clear evening at camp.

Frequently Asked Questions

01. What is included in your Masai Mara safari packages?

Our packages include accommodation, daily guided game drives, park entry fees, all meals, and the services of a local Masai guide. Optional add-ons — hot air balloon rides, cultural village visits, photography sessions, and transfers — can be added to any package.

Yes. Every package is a starting point, not a fixed product. Tell us your dates, group size, budget, and what experiences matter most — and we will build something around you. Contact us directly for a personalised itinerary and quote.

All packages are based at Mara Siligi Camp — 10 eco tents with ensuite bathrooms, private decks, hot showers, and solar power. Standard tents for solo travellers and couples. Spacious family tents for groups travelling with children.

Yes. Our family-friendly packages are specifically designed for children — flexible drive timing, family tents, children’s meals, and an electric-fenced camp. Our guides are experienced with younger guests and adjust the pace accordingly.

We recommend a minimum of 3 nights. Four or five nights gives you a much fuller experience — better odds of witnessing the Great Migration, more flexibility with drive timing, and time to slow down between drives. Our 2–3 day packages are ideal for those with limited time.

The Masai Mara has one of the highest Big Five densities of any reserve in Africa. Lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino sightings are common. Our location near Mpuaai Gate puts you close to corridors where these animals are most active.

We use 4×4 game drive vehicles with open roofs for photography and wildlife viewing. Vehicles accommodate small groups — we do not run overcrowded drives. Private vehicle options are available on all packages.

Yes. We have standard tents specifically suited to solo travellers, and our small camp means you are never lost in a crowd. Solo packages are available on request — contact us and we will match you with private drive depending on your preference.

Yes — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-specific meals are all available. Let us know your requirements when you book and our kitchen team will prepare accordingly throughout your stay.

July to October is migration season, with peak river crossings between mid-August and mid-September. These dates book out months in advance. If you are planning a 2026 migration safari, we recommend contacting us now — availability for August is already limited.

By air: daily flights from Wilson Airport to Ol Kiombo or Keekorok airstrips — approximately 1 hour. By road: 5–6 hours via Narok. We can arrange all transfers from Nairobi as part of your package. Just let us know your preference when booking.
