Welcome to your dream photography safari in Africa.

Created by a Photographer, for Photographers

I’m not just a guide—I’m a wildlife photographer living and working here in the heart of Masai Mara at Mara Siligi Camp. I know exactly what it takes to capture that perfect golden-hour lion shot, the split-second cheetah chase, and those soulful elephant portraits in the morning mist. I’ve designed this experience specifically for photographers like you—whether you’re on a photography safari Africa or an African photo safari—who want to do more than just see wildlife. You want to capture it like never before.
Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a passionate hobbyist, our Masai Mara photo safaris at Mara Siligi Camp are tailor-made to place you in the perfect spot, at the ideal time, with the best light for stunning wildlife photography.

What Makes Our Photography Safari in Africa Unique?

Designed by a Photographer, Not a Tour Operator

Every element of this experience is fine-tuned to help you capture, not just see, African wildlife. From positioning vehicles for side light and backlight, to understanding predator behavior to anticipate a moment — we don’t just chase sightings, we chase stories through your lens

 Purpose-Built Vehicles for Shooting

We use open-sided 4×4 Land Cruisers equipped with:

  • Bean bags and camera mounts
  • Elevated roof hatches for 360° shooting
  • Power inverters for charging batteries in the field
  • Cooler boxes (because long hours in the wild need coffee too!)
Timing That Matches Light, Not Convenience

Most game drives run on fixed schedules. We don’t. Our photography safaris in Masai Mara revolve around:

  • Early golden hour shoots
  • Midday breaks with editing back at camp
  • Late afternoon positioning for action and drama

Whether it’s a cheetah hunt or elephants in sunset dust, we frame your chances.

Where You’ll Be Shooting: Locations with Photographic Soul

Masai Mara National Reserve

Home to the Big Cats — lions, cheetahs, leopards — and the annual Great Migration (July–October). Every day here is a new canvas of wildlife movement, framed by acacia silhouettes and sweeping skies.

Mara North & Olare Motorogi Conservancies

Less tourist traffic, more raw, intimate encounters. Here, you can follow a pride for hours without another vehicle in sight — ideal for long-lens tracking and emotional storytelling through images.

Nearby Extensions

You can add days in Amboseli for dramatic elephant portraits with Mt. Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, or Lake Nakuru for flamingo abstracts and rhino close-ups.

What’s Included in Your African Photo Safari Package?

  • Private or shared 4×4 vehicles, fitted for photographers (bean bags, side flaps, charging points)
  • Full-board stay at our Mara camp
  • Local Maasai guides with an eye for framing the perfect shot
  • Daily game drives timed around light and wildlife movement
  • Optional add-ons: hot air balloon photography, editing workshops, night safaris

The Camp — Your Creative Base at Marasiligi

Our home during the safari is Marasiligi Camp,eco-friendly boutique tented camp nestled at the foothills of Oldonyo Loip Hill in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve..

What I love about Marasiligi is that it’s built for quiet focus and wild immersion. You wake up to the sounds of hippos grunting in the river and end the day editing your shots under a sky scattered with stars.

Here’s what makes it perfect for photographers:

  • Spacious tents with private bathrooms, comfy beds, and work surfaces for gear
  • Charging stations available in tents and common areas (we know you’ll need them!)
  • Reliable Wi-Fi at the lounge for backups, uploads, or staying in touch
  • Fresh, homemade meals — with vegetarian and special dietary options
  • Evening bonfire hangouts to review shots, share stories, and plan for the next shoot
  • A strong eco-conscious ethos, run by a local team that feels like family

The camp’s location is not only close to major wildlife corridors — it’s also positioned to get us out early and back late, maximizing golden hour opportunities.

From My Lens to Yours

I know how it feels to wait for a lioness to glance just so, or to hold your breath while a herd crosses the frame. These safaris are my way of sharing that intimate stillness, that spark — not as a business, but as a visual story passed from one photographer to another.

So if you’re looking for a photography safari in Africa that’s not about sightseeing, but seeing

— let’s talk.
