Start the Day With the Morning Safari
Your day starts with a guided morning game drive led by a local Masai guide. We shape the drive around what’s happening in the bush that day. If there’s a predator sighting at dawn, you leave at dawn.
Why our location helps in the morning
We sit close to two gates, so you reach the main game loops within minutes of leaving camp. You’re in the reserve before the large lodge convoys have finished breakfast. There’s no long transfer before the wildlife begins.

After the drive, you come back to a fresh, locally sourced breakfast overlooking the savannah. You can eat indoors or in the bush, depending on your mood and the weather. There’s no surcharge for bush-setting meals.
What you can do after breakfast
Once you’ve eaten, the morning is yours. Here are your options:
- Join a nature walk. Our Masai guides lead walks around the camp and explain the wildlife and plants. One guest advised: “Don’t skip a morning walk to hear about the wildlife and plants.”
- Review your photos. Our photography lounge is a place to edit, review and discuss your shots with other guests.
- Book a massage. Our massage area is ideal recovery after back-to-back game drives.
- Get online if you need to. We have Wi-Fi in the guest lounge and common areas.
- Just sit. Your private deck has a view of the savannah, and the coffee is hot.

For visitors focused on the Talek area, we work well as a safari resort near Talek: central to the ecosystem, quiet enough to sleep and small enough to get you out first. We’re not a resort, though. We’re a warm, family-run place, and guests tell us that’s the difference.
